It is always a challenge connecting a bold new industrial element to the old world charm of a historic brick facade. That was exactly the brief in this warehouse conversion. The developer made every effort to preserve the rich history of the building while ensuring the apartments were not lacking in any way. This included revising the internal structure, alongside making provisions for electrical, data, plumbing and mechanical services to be retrofitted.

Zen Group accomplished this undertaking by seemlessly connecting the softer organic lines of the old brickwork, to the clean and deliberate lines of new metal work both internally and externally. Being an inner-city building, we imported ultra high performance acoustic glass from Italy, with thermally broken pure aluminium frames to achieve thermal and acoustic performance well beyond the required levels.
